2023 BGA COMPETITIONS
- BGA Summer League will take place throughout the season – each club may enter one or more teams for the Summer league comprising 4 scratch players and 2 handicap players (Max H’cap 9). Leagues will be decided once entries have closed on 1st April with leagues based on Geographical basis. The semi-finals of the summer league will be held on a home and away basis with the final this year reverting back to the initial 36 hole format with foursomes in the morning and singles matches in the afternoon. Club officials should send an email intimating their intention to enter one or more teams to secretary@bordergolf.co.uk before 1st April 2023. The cost is £80 per team and team payment should be made by Bank Transfer to the BGA Account Number 00185868 Sort Code 800688.
- The BGA Team Tournament Trophy will be played at Hirsel Golf Club on Sunday 3rd Sept in conjunction with the strokeplay championship, with the trophy awarded to the club with the lowest 3 gross scores out of the clubs 4 nominated gross players for this event. In the event of a tie the 4th score will count. Again clubs should advise their team representatives by email to secretary@bordergolf.co.uk by 3rd Sept.
- Border Championship will be played at Hirsel Golf Club on Sunday Sept 3rd– This is a 36 hole Tournament with a maximum handicap limit of 18. Entry fee is £15 per person and there will be an optional 2’s sweep of £5 covering both rounds. Online entries are now open at https://www.brsgolf.com/bordergolfers/opens_home.php There will be prizes for both scratch and handicap dependent on the number of entrants. Times available from 8am to 10.30am.
- BGA Champion of Champions – this will be contested by the 21 Club Champions and will take place on May 21st at Cardrona. Prize money as follows 1st £100 , 2nd £75 , 3rd £50
