BGA CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS 2023

Congratulations to Jack McDonald of Roxburghe on winning the BGA champion of champions event at Cardrona golf course. This event was open to the champions of all 21 clubs in the Borders area. In the end 17 players took part on a very challenging Cardrona course. It was a test of patience in a near 5 hour round with a close run thing for the 2nd and 3rd spots being decided by better inward halves and which saw David Gillie posting a 2 under  back 9 to claim 2nd spot after a very poor start. The pre-tournament favourite and defending champion Jack McDonald also shot 2 under on the back 9 for a level par 73 which saw him win by 4 shots.  The BGA would like to thank McDonald Cardona for hosting the Tournament.
