Summer League Rules 2023
All league matches must be played by 31st July – The home team must give the away team 3 dates to play. If the away team cannot play any of those dates then the tie will be awarded to the home team.
Players may only play for 1 team during the entire tournament
All matches in the league stages and semi finals will be Singles matches , the final will be 2 ball foursomes in the morning with singles in the afternoon.
Matches will consist of 4 Scratch Ties and 2 Handicap Ties (Maximum Handicap 9)
Scoring System in the leagues will be 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. In the event of teams having the same number of points in the league, the final league position will be decided on the highest number of ties won from all league matches. Failing that the result of the games between clubs will be taken into account with the number of holes up counted.
The winning teams from leagues 1 & 2 and the winning team and runnerup from league 3 will go forward to compete in a semi-final on a home & away basis in August. There will be a draw in early August to decide the semi-final opponents.
The final will be played on Sat 23rd Sep at a neutral venue over 36 holes with morning foursomes and afternoon singles.
Prizemoney = 1st £350 2nd £150 , Semi-Finalists £80
