2026 BGA COMPETITIONS
- BGA Summer League draw took place at the committee meeting on Tuesday 30th March and the groups were kindly drawn by Keith Morgan. (See website pages for fixtures, results, standings and rules).
- BGA Team Tournament information will be confirmed after the BGA Committee meeting in April.
- BGA Challenge Trophy will be held at Melrose Golf Club on Saturday 9th May with the entry fee being £20 per pair. The format will be 2 ball foursomes with the trophy being awarded to the pair with the best gross score. Could anyone who would like to enter this event please get in touch with the BGA Competition Secretary (Jack McColm) on 07850271263 or at mccolmjack@me.com. I will need both players names and a rough tee time that you would like to play. Melrose will accommodate tee times as best they can on this date.
- Border Championship (36 holes) will this year take place at Torwoodlee Golf Club on Sunday 16th August, a maximum playing handicap of 18 will be in operation and the entry fee is £20 (includes 2s sweep). - BGA Champion Of Champions will be hosted by Selkirk Golf Club (18 holes) on Sunday 17th May. This will be contested by only 1st class club champions from the 20 border clubs. Tee times are from 10.30 – 11.40. Prize money will be as follows – 1st £100, 2nd £75 & 3rd £50.
- BGA Senior Championship (55+) will be held in conjunction with the Hawick Senior Open on Wednesday 12th August. Scratch strokeplay format. Anyone who wishes to enter please do so here – http://www.hawickgolfclub.com/Competition%20Registration?competitionid=63735
