2026 Summer League Rules
- All league matches must take place on the stipulated date on the fixture list. Any matches that are postponed due to course conditions (waterlogged, high winds etc) must be re arranged in conjunction with the competition secretary (Jack McColm – 07850271263)
- Players may play for only 1 team during the entire season.
- All matches in the league stages and semi finals will be singles matches. The final will be 2 ball foursomes in the morning followed by singles matches in the afternoon.
- Each league match and semi final will contest of 4 scratch ties and 2 handicap ties (maximum course handicap 9).
- Any team who fails to fulfil a match will be deducted 3 points.
- The away team player has the honour at the 1st hole in each match.
- The scoring system in each league will be 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. In the event of teams finishing with equal points then the final league position will be decided on the highest number of ties won from all group matches. Failing that the result of the matches between the clubs will be used with the number of holes up counted.
- The winning teams from each league will progress to the semi finals & finals which will be held at a neutral venue. A draw will take place after all league matches are completed for the semi finals.
- Prize money to each club will be as follows – 1st £350, 2nd £150 & 3rd £80
- Bacon rolls, coffee and lunch will be provided for both teams in the final.
